5 elements at Rohan Island

"There seems to be a public image of any given city which is the overlap of many individual images...The concent of the city image so far studied, which are referable to physical form, can conveniently be classified into five types of elements: paths, edges, distrits, nodes, and landmarks." (Kevin Lynch, Image of the city, p 46.)

In this sense those physical references distinquish the structure of the lansdcape and creates an identity of a space. These elements also affects our kinetics and orientation in the space and how do we identify with the area. Rohan Island is very complicated area in terms of orientation and reference point, the current transformation and renovation to Rohan City (the developer project) casue that the reference poitns are constantly changing, the situation of not yet reconstructed area (or half way reconstucted) creates an fluid and volatile character. With my experiment I was deteciting those reference points that are significat for the brownfield. Each element I am demostrating on an example how it is possible to perceive the space by motion or body. Moreover, I was concentrated on whether I incline more to zoom out or zoom in with the movement relating to the space.
